Florida, Florida State dropping fast

By Post Staff

Entering today, Scout.com had Florida ranked No. 1, Florida St. at No. 6 and Miami at No. 8.

Miami has had a great day, nabbing four more players from Miami-Northwestern to catapult up to No. 3 in the rankings.

Florida and Florida State, though, haven’t been so lucky.

The Gators have dropped all the way to No. 11 after losing out on Melbourne-Palm Bay DB Ramon Buchanan to Miami and Lakeland-Lake Gibson center Ricky Barnum to Michigan.

And while the Noles are still listed at No. 6, that likely won’t last long. FSU has lost out on several top recruits this morning, most notably Alabama receiver Julio Jones, who picked Nick Saban and the Crimson Tide.

Tallahassee-Lincoln DB T.J. Bryant dealt FSU another blow when he chose USC, and Hialeah DE Corey Liuget chose Illinois.

The day is far from over, so if you root for FSU or UF, don’t throw yourself off a bridge — yet.
