Trinity settles it on the court

By Post Staff

Now you can truly call it a rivalry between Trinity Christian and Lake Worth Christian, because Trinity actually won a game in the series.

And what a game it was – full of drama, a great atmosphere, and best of all, peace and harmony afterward. There’s been so much tension between these two schools this year, but in the end it was Trinity Christian outplaying Lake Worth Christian on the court, defeating the Defenders 63-61.

I hadn’t seen Trinity’s Danielle McCray since last year, and she was the most dominant player on either team. To think the girl is only a freshman, and none of Trinity’s starters are past their sophomore season, makes you wonder if the Warriors could be owning 1A for the next few years. They definitely have a shot to win a title this season.

But the best part about this game was the atmosphere. You would have thought you were at a football game and not a girls basketball game. You won’t get that at any other girls hoops game, which is why Lake Worth Christian and Trinity is my favorite matchup to attend.

Expect Lake Worth Christian to come back strong next year. Antishia Wright will be back for one more season, and the Defenders will compete. But with Trinity’s win, the rivalry is official.
