FSU final stop on Pryor’s recruiting trip

By Post Staff

Highly touted Okeechobee senior running back Lonnie Pryor and Brahmans coach Chris Branham are on their way home from a recruiting trip to Baton Rouge and LSU, but they stopped in Tallahassee on Tuesday to pay another visit to Florida State.

Branham told me that FSU called him and Pryor ”about 17 times” after they left Baton Rouge and invited them to please stop by on their way back to Okeechobee. So they obliged.

Pryor has narrowed his choices to FSU, LSU, Clemson and Georgia. He also visited Auburn but has crossed the Tigers off his list, Branham said.

Pryor, who also is a talented defensive back, is rated one of the state’s top prospects.

Also, Atlantic defensive back Jayron Hosley said he plans to visit Georgia next week.
