Glades Day’s Schlechter to Georgia State

By Jason Lieser

Quarterback Bo Schlechter, a two-year starter at Glades Day, committed to Georgia State this week, coach Pete Walker said.

Georgia State is scheduled to begin playing Division I-AA football in 2010 under coach Billy Curry. The Panthers will play their home games in the Georgia Dome.

“Bill Curry is a great coach with a great track record,” Walker said. “I think it’ll be a great fit for him.”

Schlechter threw for 1,308 yards and 10 touchdowns during the regular season for Glades Day. He is 6-3, 205 pounds and has one of the strongest throwing arms in the county.
