Consolation thriller at the D-Hop

By Post Staff

Glades Day’s Vince Lewis had a jump shot to give the Gators the 63-62 lead over Palm Beach Lakes with three seconds left to play in the second consolation game of the D-Hop Classic Saturday.

Palm Beach Lakes immediately called a timeout and then got the ball to Mark Moore. Moore lobbed a shot from about five feet outside the arc and nailed it as time expired to give Palm Beach Lakes the 65-63 win.

Understandably, the crowd went nuts and Moore’s teammates swarmed him after he made the shot. Even the Glades Day coaching staff had to smile during postgame handshakes.
