Bradley Wallace headed to Troy

By Jason Lieser

Dwyer’s Bradley Wallace, who played quarterback, linebacker and defensive back, will sign with Troy on Wednesday.

Panthers coach Jack Daniels said he expected Wallace to commit to Florida Atlantic, but apparently there was a last-minute change of heart and he gave a verbal to Troy. He likely will play safety in college.

“Troy lost five starters out of their 3-5-3 defense and they’re telling him he has a chance to play right away,” Daniels said.

Wallace (6-2, 195) has offers from FAU, Colorado State and Iowa State. He drew interest from Clemson, Florida State and Miami, though none of them ever issued an official offer.

Wallace is rated the No. 13 prospect in this area, and he is the 15th player of the to 16 to make a verbal commitment. He had 61 tackles and six sacks, and threw nine touchdown passes. He was an all-area and all-state selection.
