Tennessee, K-State after Eddie Sullivan

By Jason Lieser

Once Boca Raton quarterback Eddie Sullivan got his first offer, courtesy of Southern Miss, it was obvious more would follow.

Tennessee and Kansas State are the latest to offer Sullivan, who will be a senior this fall. Lane Kiffin and his staff certainly are setting up camp in Palm Beach County.

Sullivan (6-1 1/2, 195) has drawn interest from several other schools as well, including Auburn, North Carolina State, Georgia and West Virginia. It will be interesting to see if Bulldogs coach Mark Richt, a former Boca Raton quarterback himself, will pull the trigger on Sullivan.

Southern Miss offered him a scholarship in February.

Sullivan passed for 2,003 passing yards and connected on 26 touchdown passes as a junior, leading the Bobcats to the playoffs last season.

It was his first year with Boca Raton after transferring from Park Vista. That move remains under investigation by the FHSAA after Park Vista accused Boca Raton of recruiting him. A ruling is expected within the month, but the investigation alone seemed to be enough to cost former Bobcats coach Eddie Giersbrook his job last month.
