Local MVP’s highlight FACA soccer all-star game

The South All Stars of Palm Beach, Broward, and Dade County players beat the West team 6-1 Friday night then tied the East team 2-2 on Saturday.


Boca Raton’s C.J. Phelps won the Golden Boot award for most goals scored with three. He also had two assists.

Wellington’s Kojo Thompson was named the Defensive MVP. Coconut Creek Monarch’s Felipe Nascimento was the overall MVP.

The games were held on March 27th and 28th at the Seminole Soccer Complex in Sanford.

The coaches for the West team were Boca Raton’s Marcelo Castillo, Miami Varela’s JC Gonzalez, and Pahokee’s Tim Baker-Sinclair.

West Boca’s T.J. Merrigan was a late addition to the roster.
