Atlantic’s James Louis named to Under Armour All-American Game

By Jason Lieser

Atlantic wide receiver James Louis is one of three local players who have accepted early invitations to the 2010 Under Armour All-American Game.

“I’m looking forward to that,” Louis said. “It’s two hours away, so plenty of people can come watch it.”

Louis (6-0, 185) finished his junior season with 43 catches for 846 yards and eight touchdowns. Among big-school players, Louis finished second in catches and yards.

He was all-area and third team all-state in 2008.

Royal Palm Beach receiver Chris Dunkley accepted an invite to the game in February, and Treasure Coast linebacker Jeff Luc has decided to play as well. Last month, Luc was still weighing whether to go to the Under Armour game in Orlando or the U.S. Army game in San Antonio.

The U.S. Army game will feature Dwyer standouts Matt Elam and Gerald Christian, both of whom are committed to Florida.

Several local players remain strong candidates for either game, including Jupiter kicker Cody Parkey, who seems like a lock. Parkey is likely to be the top-rated player at his position this fall.
