King’s Academy cancels football game amid swine flu concerns

By Jason Lieser

King’s Academy Athletic Director Adam Winters said the school will not play tonight’s scheduled pre-season game against Fort Lauderdale-Pine Crest.

Winters declined to give a reason for the cancellation, but the school is concerned about a possible swine flu outbreak.

The school already has canceled practices and chapel sessions this week to prevent the spread of H1N1, according to a note posted on its website. The note did not say if any student has contracted the virus.
