Chisholm (5-8, 165, No. 29 on The Big Board) has said since summer West Virginia was his favorite, but felt the Mountaineers recruiting class was too full at running back.

“I’m going to Stillwater,” said Chisholm, who planned to call Oklahoma State before boarding a bus for Royal Palm Beach.

Chisholm also considered Mississippi State. He said he will make official visits to all three schools. At this point, Chisholm’s decision would be referred to as a soft commitment.

“I’m happy, but I’m still all the way open,” Chisholm said.

He is struggling at running back this year behind a young and porous offensive line, but Chisholm was honorable mention all-area last season while splitting time with Antonio McCloude.

He is also one of the area’s best cornerbacks, which could ultimately be his position in college, but he chose Oklahoma State because he believed it would offer the best opportunity to play running back.

“That offense suits his style of play,” Glades Central coach Jessie Hester said.
