Palm Beach Central OL Shane McDermott area’s seventh All-American

Palm Beach Central offensive lineman Shane McDermott accepted an invitation to play in the Under Armour All-American Game on Jan. 2 in Orlando, his father said.

McDermott (6-3, 250, No. 5 on The Big Board) is committed to Miami and is the area’s seventh All-America selection.

The Under Armour game, which features five local players, is Jan. 2 at the Citrus Bowl and will be on ESPN. The U.S. Army All-American Bowl is Jan. 9 at the Alamodome in San Antonio and will be aired on NBC.
