Glades Central, Dwyer in Beef O’Brady’s top 7

By Jason Lieser

It’s only a poll and it means very little in the real world, but the rest of the state appears to be taking notice of Glades Central and Dwyer.

In the latest Beef O’Brady’s all-classification poll, the only team ranked ahead of the Raiders is St. Thomas Aquinas, the national No. 1 team. After those two, state powerhouses Lakeland, Booker T. Washington, Miami Northwestern and Jacksonville-Bolles are the only schools that stand in front of Dwyer.

It should be noted that Dwyer beat Booker T. Washington, 24-21, in last year’s playoffs.

Pahokee checks in at No. 16.
