American Heritage already knows next playoff opponent

By Jason Lieser

If American Heritage beats Miami-Westminster Christian tonight’s playoff game, the Stallions will get a rematch with Fort Lauderdale-Calvary Christian in the second round.

The Miami Herald reports the Florida High School Athletic Association has forced Miramar-Parkway Academy to vacate its playoff berth, meaning Calvary Christian automatically advances.

The FHSAA has been investigating Parkway, which went undefeated this season, for allegedly using an ineligible player.

American Heritage beat Calvary Christian, 45-21, two weeks ago to claim the District 7-1A title.
