Former Pahokee star and Tennessee WR Nu’Keese Richardson pleads guilty

By Post Staff

Ex-Tennessee wide receiver Nu’Keese Richardson, who starred at Pahokee, today pleaded guilty to one county of armed robbery in Knoxville, Tenn.

From the Associated Press:

Richardson was charged Nov. 12 with then-teammates Mike Edwards and Janzen Jackson after three men reported to police that two men tried to rob them while they were sitting in their car at a Knoxville convenience store.

The victims later identified Richardson and Edwards as the two men who attempted robbery. One of the robbers brandished a pellet gun.

Court officials said Richardson entered into a plea agreement with prosecutors. He agreed to diversion, which will keep him from serving jail time, and will be on probation for three years.

Charges are still pending against Edwards, who was dismissed from the team. Jackson was reinstated to the team after all charges against him were dropped.
