Ex-King’s Academy star Heath Evans giving away tickets to NFC title game

By Jason Lieser

New Orleans Saints fullback Heath Evans, a former King’s Academy standout, is raffling off four club seats for Sunday’s NFC championship game against the Vikings and some spending money.

This is an unbelievable package: Four club seats, a Superdome parking pass for game day, $1,000 for travel expenses, meet-up with Evans after the game and an autographed item from him.

To enter the raffle, go to www.HeathEvans.org and click on the graphic on the left side that says “Win Tickets to Sunday’s Saints NFC Championship Game!” Each entry costs $2 and there is a five-entry minimum.

THe deadline to enter is Thursday at 1 p.m. Eastern.

According to a press release, proceeds from the raffle will benefit the not-for-profit 501(c)(3) Heath Evans Foundation, which is dedicated to fostering hope and healing in the lives of children and families affected by sexual abuse.

“Being in the NFL gives me a platform to bring attention to a cause that doesn’t receive a lot of attention,” Evans said in the release. “When people hear about it and learn more about it, hopefully they become motivated to help sexually abused children and their families.

“The Foundation is very involved in the West Palm Beach area and we are just starting to become involved in the New Orleans area. There is a great need in both places and we will do our best to help as many people as we can.”

Evans’ season was cut short when he sustained a season-ending knee injury Oct. 25 against the Miami Dolphins.
