Simon (6-1, 190, 4.59, No. 23 on the Big Board) visited Western Michigan in early December and said it was a perfect fit.

“When I went on my visit, I felt really comfortable, like I could be there the next four years,” Simon said. “The only thing about it is it’s, but I can get used to it.”

Simon also visited Middle Tennessee State and had interest from Miami and Wake Forest.

He had scheduled a visit with Wake Forest for next weekend, but said he will not go unless he has an offer.

“If Miami or Wake Forest or schools like that offer me, I’ll take a visit, but right now I don’t have anything planned,” Simon said.

Simon had 87 tackles and two interceptions as a senior and was selected all-area.

All commitments are non-binding. No player is locked into a school until he signs a national letter of intent. The first day seniors can sign is Feb. 3, national signing day.
