ESPN: Boca Raton QB Eddie Sullivan commits to Marshall

By Jason Lieser

Nothing’s guaranteed until national signing day, but it appears Marshall coach Doc Holliday has himself a quarterback.

ESPN is reporting that Boca Raton’s Eddie Sullivan has backed out on Wake Forest and now is committed to Marshall.

Sullivan (6-2, 200, No. 18 on The Big Board) has not returned messages seeking comment since his visit to Marshall last weekend, but two of his coaches said earlier this week he was strongly considering the Thundering Herd’s offer.

Holliday and Sullivan’s relationship dates back to the fall, when Holliday was recruiting Sullivan to West Virginia.

All commitments are non-binding. No player is locked into a school until he signs a national letter of intent. The first day seniors can sign is Feb. 3, national signing day.

As a senior, Sullivan threw for 2,277 yards and 21 touchdowns. He also rushed for 222 yards and four touchdowns.
