Nine area basketball players nominated for 2010 McDonald’s All American Game

Nine of the area’s top boys and girls players have been nominated for this year’s McDonald’s All American Game on March 31 at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio.

The nominees for the girls are Brittni Montgomery and Terrice Robinson from Fort Pierce Central, Jamierra Faulkner from Trinity Christian, Porsche Shakes from Palm Beach Central, and Tayler Tremblay of St. Andrews. The boys are Jorel Terrell of Martin County, Kevin Paxson from Jupiter, Johnny Lantz of Berean Christian, and Brice Jenkins of Summit Christian.

The players are among 2,500 basketball in the nation nominated by the McDonald’s All American Basketball Team Selection Committee, which is comprised of high school sports analysts, prep scouts, newspaper reporters, and prestigious basketball coaches, who select 24 boys and 24 girls for the final teams.

The girls game begins at 5:30 p.m. ET and airs live on ESPNU, and the Boys Game tips-off at 8:00 p.m. ET and airs live on ESPN.
