ESPN: Keelin Smith, Giorgio Newberry accept all-America invites

By Jason Lieser

Treasure Coast defensive back Keelin Smith and Fort Pierce Central defensive end Giorgio Newberry have committed to play in the 2011 Under Armour All-America Game, ESPN reported on its website.

With Under Armour selecting Smith and Newberry, the area is guaranteed at least three all-America players. Dwyer tight end Nick O’Leary has invitations to the Under Armour game and the U.S. Army All-American Bowl, but has not decided yet.

Smith (6-3, 185, No. 4 on The Big Board) is committed to Florida State. Newberry (6-5, 260, No. 8 on The Big Board) has many BCS offers, including all of the big-three in-state schools.

Newberry also was invited to the U.S. Army game.
