Inlet Grove track coach Anton Pastuszak resigns

By Post Staff

Inlet Grove track coach Anton Pastuszak resigned Thursday, five years after starting the Hurricanes’ track program. Pastuszak told the school it would be “in the best interest of all parties” if he resigned. Pastuszak and the Hurricanes track team were featured in an article in the Palm Beach Post in April about making their own track equipment due to a lack of funds.

The Hurricanes will have a track next season as Inlet Grove is being moved to Suncoast’s campus and Inlet Grove athletic director Jack Crumity said the school will hire a new coach.

The Hurricanes had their best season to date this year as the boys won the program’s first meet win in the non-conference county qualifier and the boys and girls each placed second in the district meet. Junior Tyrico McGriff placed fourth in the Class 2A long jump in his second straight trip to the state meet.
