According to his coach, Glades Central wideout Kelvin Benjamin (6-5, 215, No. 2 on the Big Board) wants to stay close to home, and he’s favoring the University of Florida over Florida State and Miami.

From The Post’s Jason Lieser, over at the Gator Bytes blog:

“I don’t think the kid’s going to leave the state, so it’s Miami, Florida or Florida State,” Glades Central coach Jessie Hester said.

“I think he’s leaning toward Florida right now, believe it or not. He’s up there a lot. Miami’s just down the road and I know he hasn’t been there much — if any. The only time he went to Florida State was when we had the 7-on-7 (event). So I think it’s Florida.”

Hester could be guessing, but that’s a pretty well-educated guess.
