NFL, CDC aim to take concussions out of the play

By Matt Porter

Here’s hoping the NFL sends one of these to every youth, high school and college team in the country.

The Center for Disease Control teamed up with the NFL Players Association and other athletic safety organizations to create this poster that will hang in NFL locker rooms this season. It urges players to recognize the symptoms of a concussion and get proper treatment.

Check out the CDC’s website on concussion safety, which includes resources geared specifically toward high school athletes, parents and coaches.
