Reports: Wellington OT Brynjar Gudmundsson commits to USF

By Matt Porter

Wellington offensive tackle Brynjar Gudmundsson committed to the University of South Florida on Monday, according to multiple reports.

Gudmundsson (6-4, 265, No. 35 on the Big Board) also has offers from UCF, FIU and Syracuse, among other schools.

“USF was definitely my number one school,” Gudmundsson told “I really like the coaching staff.”

Wellington coach Chris Romano could not be reached for comment.

Verbal commitments are non-binding. National Signing Day is Feb. 2.

The Bulls have three Palm Beach County linemen on their roster: senior David Bedford (Palm Beach Lakes), redshirt sophomore Danous Estenor (Palm Beach Central) and freshman Tony Kibler (Glades Day).
