Palm Beach Lakes basketball star Myeisha Hall commits to Old Dominion

By Matt Porter

Old Dominion received a commitment from Palm Beach Lakes girls basketball star Myeisha Hall, the Virginia Pilot (Norfolk, Va.) is reporting.

A 5-foot-8 point guard, Hall is ranked 53rd among Class of 2011 by ESPN. As a junior, she didn’t let an injury stop her from becoming a first-team Palm Beach Post All-Area selection. Hall averaged 21.8 points and 9.8 rebounds a game despite missing seven games with a bruised calf and a torn ligament in her elbow.

“She’s a very athletic combo guard,” Lakes coach Cassandra Rahming told the Pilot. “She can run the 1 or 2. She shoots the 3, gets to the hoop. And not too many people know this, but she’s one of the best defenders and has very long arms.”

Old Dominion was Hall’s first official visit. She told the Pilot she was also being heavily recruited by James Madison and Illinois.
