Park Vista OL Cody Preble has surgery, out for season

By Jeff Greer

Park Vista offensive lineman Cody Preble (6-foot-4, 275 pounds, No. 10 on the Big Board) had surgery on his left knee on Wednesday and will be out for the remainder of the season.

Preble said the surgery was done in Miami, and doctors estimated a six-to-eight-week recovery time.

“I’ll be ready for pole-vaulting season,” Preble joked from the sidelines before his team’s crucial District 8-6A showdown at Seminole Ridge.

The Wake Forest-bound senior had a large brace on his knee and moved around the sidelines on crutches.

Preble was a key factor in helping Park Vista running back Tre Mason win the Palm Beach Post Big Schools Offensive Player of the Year award last year. Preble was a second-team selection.
