Blair Walsh, Dustin Hopkins among Lou Groza Award semifinalists

The Palm Beach County Sports Commission has released its list of semifinalists for the 2010 Lou Groza Award, awarded to the top collegiate kicker.

Boca Raton native Blair Walsh (a Boca Raton native who played at Ft. Lauderdale-Cardinal Gibbons) is among the 20 players on the list. Last year’s winner, UCLA’s Kai Forbath and FSU kicker Dustin Hopkins are also on the list.

Florida’s Caleb Sturgis and Miami’s Matt Bosher (Jupiter), who were on the Groza Award preseason watch list, did not make the cut.
