This will no doubt please the folks on Military Trail.

An unforgettable game, a regrettable finish.

An unforgettable game, a regrettable finish.

Cleveland-Glenville, forever known as the team that defeated Dwyer in controversial fashion in a nationally televised game on Sept. 6, suffered an early exit from the playoffs.

In a battle of unbeatens, Glenville (11-1) lost to St. Edward (Lakewood, Ohio) 42-22 in the Ohio Division I regional semifinals Saturday night in front of 10,000 fans in Parma, Ohio.

After losing to Glenville in large part to three missed calls by officials, Dwyer made it a mission to dominate. Heading into the Class 4A regional semifinals, the Panthers (9-1) have outscored opponents, 438-35. That’s a per-game average of 48.7 points for and 5 points allowed.
