Atlantic will sit one player for disciplinary reasons

By Matt Porter

Atlantic coach Chris Bean said he’s sitting out a senior for tonight’s Class 6A regional quarterfinal game against Treasure Coast.

Abdud Narcisse, who has played running back, wide receiver, kicker and quarterback for the Eagles this season, will not travel with the team due to “behavior that’s detrimental to the team,” Bean said.

Bean said earlier this week he was considering sitting out several seniors because of disciplinary concerns. He removed two other players this week, but brought them back after speaking with their parents.

Narcisse, a 5-10, 175-pounder, has 45 carries for 221 yards and a touchdown; 11 catches for 142 yards and a touchdown, and has completed 34-of-65 passes for 444 yards, five touchdowns and two interceptions. Bean did not say whether Narcisse would be allowed back on the team.
