Marshall picks up Glades Central’s Davonte Allen, Robert Way

By Matt Porter

A pre-signing day question — would Davonte Allen pick West Virginia or Marshall? — was answered early Wednesday morning.

The Glades Central wide receiver, who garnered interest (but no offer) from Miami after a big performance late in the season, faxed in a letter of intent to Marshall.

Shortly after, his Raiders teammate Robert Way faxed in his letter. Way, the No. 8 prospect on the Big Board, played several positions at Glades Central and might play safety or linebacker for the Thundering Herd. He had offers from Buffalo and Florida International, among others.
