Dwyer DE Curt Maggitt headed to Tennessee

By Matt Porter

Updated Wednesday, 7:25 a.m. | Dwyer senior Curt Maggitt is headed to Tennessee.

Maggitt made his decision Monday and told VolQuest.com, Rivals.com’s Tennessee recruiting website, of his plans Tuesday evening.

Neither Maggitt nor Dwyer head coach Jack Daniels could be reached for comment Tuesday evening, but Wednesday morning, Dwyer coach Jack Daniels confirmed Maggitt will sign with the Vols at the school’s signing day ceremony Wednesday morning.

When reached Tuesday morning, Daniels told the Post, “Curt has a good idea of where is going,” and said he expected Maggitt to sign with Tennessee on Wednesday.

Maggitt (6-4, 215, No. 5 on the Big Board), the Post’s large schools defensive Player of the Year, was considering Florida and Wisconsin along with the Volunteers.
