Football: King’s Academy to open 2011 season in Georgia

By Matt Porter

The King’s Academy football team will open up the 2011 season in Georgia.

The Lions will travel to Carrolton, Ga. to play Atlanta-Westminster in the Gridiron Challenge. The tentative time is 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 3.

The game will count in the standings toward the Lions’ regular-season record.

King’s Academy coach Craig Dobson said he is trying to get Hollywood-Chaminade for the Lions’ spring game, and plans should be settled Monday.
