Football: West Boca Raton won’t play a spring game

By Matt Porter

West Boca Raton will not play a spring football game this year, athletic director Dave Currier said.

The Bulls will instead play an intersquad game at the request of head coach Willie Dodaro.

West Boca went 6-5 last season and made the playoffs in the three-team District 13-5A. They lost 32-30 in overtime to Pompano Beach-Blanche Ely in the Class 5A regional quarterfinals.

The Bulls become the second area team to forgo its spring game. Palm Beach Lakes is the other team.
