Dwyer basketball ranked 13th in final ESPN Rise rankings

By Jeff Greer

A state championship and a win in the ESPN Rise National High School Invitational certainly brought plenty of attention to Dwyer’s basketball team.

On Tuesday, the Panthers got one final feather in their cap.

Dwyer (33-2) ranked 13th in the final Powerade Fab 50 ESPN Rise boys’ basketball poll. St. Anthony of New Jersey finished atop the poll, and ESPN Rise Invitational winner Montrose Christian placed second.

Oak Hill (Va.), which beat Dwyer in the Invitational semifinals, ranked seventh. And Dwyer’s marquee victory of Findlay Prep (Nev.) dropped the Nevada powerhouse to No. 14

Winter Park (No. 31) is the next-highest-rated Florida team, just in front of Arlington Country Day and Montverde Academy. No other Florida schools are ranked.
