Park Vista ranked in Miracle Sports all-class poll, Grandview tops in Class 1A

By Jeff Greer

The regular season is over and the final class-by-class rankings are in. And Miracle Sports treated us to an all-classes poll, too.

I’m a little surprised that Park Vista has been ranked ahead of Palm Beach Gardens in the final poll, and that the Gators were left out of the all-classes top 10 all together. Palm Beach Gardens has played a significantly tougher schedule and has better pitching, although the cancellation of a tournament left Park Vista out in the cold earlier this year, which is why the Cobras have only played 21 games. In fairness, Park Vista’s lineup has been hitting extremely well all year.

Park Vista is third in the Class 6A poll, with Gardens fourth and Jupiter sixth. The Cobras dropped a spot, while Gardens held serve at No. 4 and Jupiter stayed at 6. Centennial has jumped into this week’s poll, right at No. 10.

Wellington is still seventh in the 5A poll, but the Wolverines have to get over the Dwyer curse before they can claim the crown as the county’s best 5A team.

In 4A, Okeechobee stayed in the No. 10 spot. The Brahmans have a great chance to make a run in the regionals and states, especially if Sam Harrell gets hot. American Heritage has been playing very well lately, overcoming a slow start to finish the season 15-9. The Stallions have a tough field in the 13-2A district playoffs, but they’re the favorite.

And Grandview is still in that No. 1 spot. Can the Pride make a run back to the state finals?
