Glades Day’s Tyler LeCroy, Joseph Langmeyer commit to colleges

Glades Day football coach Pete Walker said Friday that two of his former players will play sports at the next level.

Graduating football and baseball star Tyler LeCroy has decided to play baseball at Snead State Community College in Boaz, Ala. Joseph Langmeyer, the kicker for Glades Day football and also a graduating senior, will play football at Greensboro College in North Carolina.

LeCroy played catcher for the Gators’ baseball team and was an offensive and defensive lineman for Glades Day football. He hit .514 for Glades Day, with two homers and 33 RBI. He was also a Post All-Area honorable selection for football this past fall.

Langmeyer made 6-of-11 field goals (with a long of 40 yards) over the past two seasons and made 90 percent of his PATs. He was an honorable mention selection for football in the fall. Greensboro is a Division III athletics program.
