Jupiter’s Tyler Cameron, Jupiter Christian’s Kedric Bostic to commit Tuesday

By Matt Porter

Two of the top quarterbacks in this year’s senior class say they will announce their college choices together on Tuesday in Jupiter.

Jupiter’s Tyler Cameron will decide between LSU, Illinois, South Florida and Purdue, while Jupiter Christian’s Kedric Bostic will pick either Princeton, Dartmouth or Central Florida.

The pair will hold a short announcement around 6 p.m. Tuesday at Jupiter Community Park, in front of players from the Jupiter Tequesta Athletic Association’s Pop Warner program.

“These fields are where it all started for the boys,” said Andrea Cameron, Tyler Cameron’s mother. “We thought we’d bring a little excitement to the community and share with the young players so they may have something to work toward.”

Cameron, a 6-foot-3, 215-pound dual-threat QB, has been the centerpiece of Jupiter’s offense for two seasons. A four-star QB and a top 250 national prospect according to Rivals, Cameron is the top-rated area QB and No. 6 overall prospect on the first preseason PBGametime Big Board.

Despite missing time with a shoulder injury, Cameron threw for 821 yards on 52-of-99 passing, with seven touchdowns and seven picks. He was the Warriors’ leading rusher, with 478 yards and six TDs on 100 carries.

Bostic (6-3, 175) is a pro-style passer and rated a two-star QB by Rivals. He holds the distinction of being the area’s highest-rated returning starter. He completed 80 of 124 passes last season for 1,354 yards, 18 touchdowns and two interceptions, earning a 134.2 passer rating.

Both quarterbacks were second-team All-Area selections in their junior seasons.
