Football: Time, location change for Jupiter Christian vs. Glades Day game

By Matt Porter

Jupiter Christian, which will play its home games at John I. Leonard, will play this season’s most important home game a lot closer to home.

The Eagles’ highly anticipated matchup with Glades Day has been moved to Dwyer High and will be played at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 22.

The game was scheduled to be played at John I. Leonard 6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24.

Jupiter Christian Assistant Athletic Director Nancy Loud said the school wanted to play at Dwyer, which is approximately five miles from Jupiter Christian’s campus. John I. Leonard, which will host the Eagles’ other two home games, is a 40-minute drive.

The game will be part of ESPN 760’s Thursday game of the week series.

Also, Jupiter Christian’s game against Coral Springs Christian has been moved from Friday, Nov. 4 to Thursday, Nov. 3. That game will be part of ESPN 760’s weekly series as well.
