According to statements released by UF, Christian and Clark each expressed a desire to play more.

From the Post’s Jason Lieser:

Both players are true sophomores. They will have to sit out the 2012 season and can play as red-shirt juniors in 2013.

As far as future destinations, it might be worth remembering that Clark was a longtime commit to West Virginia. Most of the staff that recruited him to the Mountaineers now is at Marshall.

Christian was more highly recruited, and was at one time interested in LSU.

Christian did not touch the ball his first season at UF and had four catches for 72 yards and a touchdown this year. Clark has not touched the ball this season, but had seven catches for 69 yards and a touchdown last year.

In April, Pahokee alum Chris Dunkley left the Gators and fellow Pahokee alum Janoris Jenkins was kicked off the team. Dunkley is now at South Florida, while Jenkins is playing at Div. II North Alabama.
