Track: Suncoast standout Antwan Wright headed to Florida

One of the top sprinters in Palm Beach County, Suncoast senior Antwan Wright, will ply his trade in Gainesville next year.

Wright, twice a Post first-team All-Area selection, plans to run the 100- and 200-yard dash for the Gators, which

Despite a leg injury, Wright finished third in the 100 and fourth in the 200 at Class 2A states last spring. Wright, who was also part of the Chargers’ fourth-place 400 relay, was the state’s top qualifier in the 100 and qualified second in the 200.

As a sophomore, Wright won state silver in the 200 and bronze in the 100.

Suncoast alum Tony McQuay (sprints) and Palm Beach Lakes grad Eddie Lovett (hurdles) also compete for the Gators.
