Western Michigan gets commitment from Glades Central WR Jaime Wilson

By Jeff Greer

In what looks like the steal of the Palm Beach County recruiting season, Western Michigan has landed a big fish: Glades Central receiver Jaime Wilson.

Wilson (5-11, 180, No. 9 on the Big Board) is widely considered the best senior receiver in the area, with great route-running ability and good hands. He caught 54 passes in 2011, 21 for touchdowns, forming a devastating offensive duo with junior Will Likely.

Wilson chose Western Michigan over Memphis and Marshall. He’d been hoping for more interest from Miami, but the Hurricanes only showed passing interest in the receiver. Wilson joins four other area products, including Pahokee’s Rontavious Atkins and former Palm Beach Lakes standout Johnnie Simon.

All commitments are non-binding. Nothing’s official until the prospect signs a national letter of intent. The first day to sign is Wednesday, and the signing period lasts through April 1.
