By Matt Porter

Several members of the Class 3A state champion American Heritage signed their letters of intent early this morning.

Defensive end Blake Davis, who will play tight end in college, signed with UCF.

Offensive tackle Kelly Parfitt joined Davis in signing with UCF.

Wide receiver Cameron Posey signed with Purdue.

Running back Jeremy Gaskins and offensive tackle Arthur Crouse signed with FAU.

Linebacker Silmore Dallaway signed with St. Joseph’s (Ind.).

Defensive end Mike Wallace signed with Stetson.

Lineman Ryan Bennett signed with Hobart.

Stallions coach Doug Socha said there are several more players who may sign in the coming days. Linebacker Zach Slafsky is weighing UMass, Dartmouth and Boston College. Socha expects center Kyle Mahoney, safety Lamont Robinson and athletes Edwin Thomas and Marcus Coby to have options.

One of the biggest names for next year’s recruiting class, junior running back Greg Bryant, saw a little signing day action this morning. USC coach Lane Kiffin called to offer a scholarship.

Bryant has most recently been offered by Clemson and Notre Dame. Florida State, Florida, Alabama and Oklahoma are among the numerous BCS programs who have already offered.
