Jupiter Christian QB Kedric Bostic signs with Princeton, WR Austin Talbott to Wagner

By Jeff Greer

Jupiter Christian quarterback Keddy Bostic proved a lot his senior season: He was good in the pocket, with a strong arm and quick feet, and he’s also not afraid to change his mind.

After verbally committing to UCF in a ceremony at Jupiter Community Park last summer, Bostic (6-3, 200 pounds, No. 8 on the Big Board) realized he’d rather go to Princeton. So, he made the changes he needed to qualify for the academically challenging Ivy League school, and signed with the Tigers on Wednesday. He’ll play alongside Will Powers, the son of Jupiter Christian coach Bill Powers.

“It’s going to be a fun time,” Bostic said. “I can’t wait to get up there. It’s great to have it all over with.”

His teammate (and go-to receiver) Austin Talbott will join his adopted brother, Josh, at Wagner in New York. Our own Jason Lieser chronicled their story in 2010.

“I woke up this morning with a text from him saying he was proud of me,” Talbott said. “It’s rare to be at school with your brother. It’s a cool story to have.”

Bostic threw for 1,780 yards, 18 touchdowns and five interceptions and ran for 1,027 yards and 17 scores. Talbott caught 29 passes for 684 yards and eight touchdowns, which was second-best among small-schools receivers.

The duo signed as part of Jupiter Christian’s signing ceremony on Wednesday morning.
