Football: Three from American Heritage commit to colleges

Three more seniors from American Heritage’s 2011 Class 3A state championship team committed to play college football, bringing the total to 14.

Wide receiver Edwin Thomas and safety Lamont Robinson committed to Mount Union and cornerback Marcus Coby committed to Earlham.

Mount Union is a Division III school in Ohio. Earlham is a Div. III school in Indiana.

American Heritage coach Doug Socha said he believes center Connor Benson-Epstein will commit to a school soon.

The other 2011 Stallions seniors headed to play college football:

TE Blake Davis and OL Kelly Parfitt (UCF), WR Cameron Posey (Purdue), RB Jeremy Gaskins and OL Arthur Crouse (FAU), DE Mike Wallace (Stetson), LB Zach Slafsky (Dartmouth), LB Silmore Dallaway (St. Joseph’s), LB Ryan Bennett (Hobart), OL Kyle Mahoney (Endicott) and K Nick La Sala (Stetson).
