Cardinal Newman WR Travis Rudolph commits to Miami

By Matt Porter

One of the brightest talents in this year’s junior class says he wants to be a Miami Hurricane.

Cardinal Newman wide receiver and defensive back Travis Rudolph made a verbal commitment to UM on Wednesday, Newman coach Steve Walsh said.

It seems natural Rudolph would pick Miami. He is reportedly a cousin of former ‘Canes Devin Hester and Michael Smith. His head coach is a former UM quarterback.

Rudolph, a 6-foot, 175-pound speedster, chose Miami from 10 BCS offers, including Wake Forest and West Virginia.
