By Matt Porter

Port St. Lucie’s offensive catalyst will try to be the same in college.

D.J. Juste, who plays quarterback for the Jaguars and is being recruited by colleges as a quarterback and multipurpose athlete, will begin his college career as a quarterback at Georgia State, recruiting analyst Chris Nee tweeted.

As a junior, Juste put up 1,163 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on 177 carries and passed for 1,002 yards and nine touchdowns on 52-of-123 passing.

Juste, who is listed at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, had offers from Florida Atlantic, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville State, UMass, Navy, Northern Illinois and Western Michigan.

Georgia State, which began its football program as an FCS independent in 2010, will compete this fall in the Colonial Athletic Association (FCS). In 2013, the Panthers will join the Sun Belt (FBS).
