Jupiter Christian to play 2012 football home games at Dwyer

By Matt Porter

It looks like the lights will be on at Dwyer on most Friday nights this fall.

Forever-vagrant Jupiter Christian has agreed to play its four home games at Dwyer’s Blum Stadium in Palm Beach Gardens, about six miles away from Jupiter Christian’s campus.

Dwyer Athletic Director Tom Pagley said a lease with the Palm Beach County School District has not yet been signed, but both schools have agreed on four dates which coincide with Dwyer’s away games.

Jupiter Christian, which does not have a football stadium, will play at Dwyer on the following dates: Sept. 14 against Inlet Grove, Sept. 28 against Summit Christian, Oct. 5 against Deerfield Beach-Zion Lutheran and Oct. 26 against Village Academy.

The Eagles, which established a football program in 2002, faced rival Glades Day at Dwyer last Sept. 24. They have played past home games at South Fork High in Stuart, at John I. Leonard High in Greenacres and Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter.
