Palm Beach County, Treasure Coast football districts for 2012

By Matt Porter

Because it never hurts to have a refresher, and the season’s fast approaching …

The FHSAA reshuffles districts every two years. We’re in the second year of that cycle, so there are no major changes in area districts.

The only update of note is the creation of the Southeastern Football Conference, formed in December when 14 programs broke away from their districts to become independent. The schedule for every SFC team includes two weeks for a playoff tournament. Following that, they will play for their own league championship. They are still in the FHSAA, but not eligible for FHSAA state tournaments.

According to local coaches, Deerfield Beach-Zion Lutheran has dropped from District 7-2A.
