Fort Pierce Central RB Marcus Levy commits to Cincinnati

By Matt Porter

Fort Pierce Central senior Marcus Levy will play his college ball at Cincinnati.

Levy, the Treasure Coast’s leading rusher as a junior, had interest from SEC schools but decided to play for the Bearcats in the Big East. Levy committed Sunday, according to Fort Pierce Central coach Josh Shaffer.

A 5-foot-11, 185-pound tailback, Levy rushed for 1,382 yards and 18 touchdowns on 196 carries last year. He enters this season as the top back on the T-Coast.

Before committing, he narrowed down his college choices to South Carolina, Wake Forest, Boise State, Mississippi State and Kentucky.

“He felt [Cincinnati] was the best environment for him,” Shaffer said.
