Dwyer alum Shawn McClaine to Grambling State

Former Dwyer running back Shawn McClaine is headed to Grambling State.

McClaine (5-8, 170) spent last season at Fork Union Military School in Virginia. He will be a preferred walk-on at Grambling.

McClaine was a first-team Palm Beach Post All-Area defensive back as a senior in 2010. He was also Dwyer’s main ballcarrier, gaining 1,468 yards and 19 touchdowns on 161 carries.

Grambling State is a historically black FCS school in Grambling, La. The Tigers are coached by former Super Bowl MVP Doug Williams, and are best known as the home of legendary former coach Eddie Robinson.
